01 Data mapping and disclosuresDescribe the commercial relationship and every reader-facing format it affects. The label should match what readers actually encounter.

02 Editorial firewall and vendorsState who controls editorial decisions and which sponsor requests are outside the product. Commercial support must not silently buy editorial influence.
Log conflicts, gifts, advertiser claims, corrections, and the escalation owner. A visible record supports consistent decisions.
Ask each vendor for its role, purpose, recipients, data use, security evidence, and retention terms. Product labels alone do not answer operational questions.
Record the source date, agreement version, dependencies, and questions still open. Vendor terms and implementation details can change.

03 Incident readinessDefine how a broken label, unsafe creative, data concern, or editorial conflict is reported. Issues need a route before they become public disputes.
Identify the reversible action: pause, remove, preserve evidence, or stop further delivery. Containment may be needed before the cause is fully known.
Preserve the placement, approvals, relevant logs, reader reports, and decision record. A later review needs more than memory.
Assign assessment, communication, correction, and follow-up owners for the incident. A response should fit the issue and the actual obligations.
