About the publication

Good work needs a workable business.

Publisher Revenue Guide helps independent website and newsletter operators understand the commercial choices behind their work.

The business, in plain language

We explain how different revenue models work, what it takes to operate them, and where the costs and trade-offs enter the picture. The audience is a publisher with a real publication to sustain, not a revenue chart to decorate.

Show the workings

Every guide should let you follow the reasoning. A vendor claim stays attributed. A worked example is labeled hypothetical. Gross revenue, contribution, and collected cash get separate names. Unknown data remains unknown.

The case files include documented publisher records and two hypothetical operating scenarios. Each real case links to its public records, states the period and separates disclosed results from our interpretation. No case claims an original interview.

A recognizable structure

Case files examine a model in detail. News & opinion provides analysis and a clearly identified point of view. The research library holds practical guides and their source register. Tools make the assumptions editable.

Editorial and commercial boundaries

Paid placements and affiliate relationships must be identified clearly if introduced. A commercial relationship must not buy an editorial conclusion. This edition contains no paid placements or affiliate links. Corrections should include the disputed passage and a supporting source.

About this local edition

Publisher Revenue Guide is a working name for portfolio project 0036. This is a local design preview expanded on 19 September 2026. The identity, articles, photographs, and original diagrams are drafts for owner review; no public publication date or domain has been assigned.

The pages use AI-assisted research synthesis, drafting, and site production. They do not claim original interviews or hands-on vendor testing. Newsletter and contact forms are shown for design review and are not collecting submissions.
